To setup HDHomeRun devices:
Each HDHomeRun device is setup as a single
source in Virtual Matrix. HDHomeRun Prime can support 3 simultaneous
streams per device, so if you need more than that you can purchase multiple
HDHomeRun devices (and setup one source per device).
Selecting the active
channel number to stream requires using the SETCHAN protocol commands (or the
appropriate driver).
- HDHomeRun device
- Set Enabled = On
- Set Type = HDHomeRun
- Set Static IP = the device IP (should be reserved or static)
- Set Port = 5004
- Set Profile = Off
- Set Live = Live
- OSD string can be set to any string you would like displayed over
video on this Source (or left blank).
- Set Stream 1 = On
- Custom Args: The following options can be used
- --analyze #
(only use if not profiling) Change the default switching time
(default is 2). Values below 2 not recommended.
You can also setup individual channel to tune directly as VM source
- HDHomeRun individual channel
- Set Enabled = On
- Set Type = Manual
- Set Static IP = the device IP (should be reserved or static)
- Set Port = 5004
- Set Profile = Off
- Set Live = Live
- OSD string can be set to any string you would like displayed over
video on this Source (or left blank).
